The MAC is dedicated to enriching the lives of all people in our community. We are the “Go To” addiction resource center of North Central Massachusetts; Providing resources for the prevention and recovery of addiction.
Service Plan
The Montachusett Addiction Council provides each client an individualized service plan as follows:
• We support our clients efforts toward recovery. Each person is unique, his/her service needs are assessed and an individual service plan is developed.
• The Center refers clients to inpatient detoxification, or outpatient services.
• If needed the M.A.C. transports clients to and from treatment.
• Referrals to sober housing, facilitate sobriety support and social services as needed. Some receive assistance with the first month’s rent from other agencies.
• The M.A.C. works with other human service agencies such as DSS, RHI, DMH, The Center for Living, The Salvation Army, and DMR as well as several outpatient counseling agencies, various churches, Food Pantrys, numerous landlords, police departments, and court systems to meet client needs.
• Our agency is available to local employers. We provide confidential assistance to their employees with addiction issues. We help these clients retain their jobs. This lowers costs to the employer and provides a more stable workforce.
